Born Under The Red Star

from 55 per person

Tour Highlights

A tour entirely dedicated to Hungary’s Red Past with story-telling based on vivid memories instead of dusty books. Hammer, sickle, ’56 and the trabantful days of Communism.

If you’re the sort of person who wants to know everything about Communism but were always afraid to ask, you will love our Born Under the Red Star tour. On this tour, you’ll get to travel back in time by visiting Budapest’s communist monuments, retro cafés and thrift shops from up close while you learn about 20th century Hungarian history and communist pop culture from a native perspective. We always aim to create a familiar atmosphere on our tours so touring the city with us will feel like one of your friends is telling you about the days spent behind the Iron Curtain.
